If you can sit through that without cringing, you are a more stalwart man than I.
If you can sit through that without seeing obvious factual flaws and political games, you are a more ignorant man that I.
I’m not one for the Grammys. I’m pretty sure it deals with either music or videos, or maybe music videos? Either way, it’s popular on TV and it gets a lot of views. For those of you who don’t know, Obama spoke for about a minute before Katy Perry performed to promote his “Its on us” campaign. The campaign is focused on stopping violence and sexual assault against women.
[Hey, for clarity, no sane person promotes violence against anyone. Pointing out factual flaws and political games doesn’t mean you want another Holocaust.]
If your going to give a message to a large portion of the country, shouldn’t it be something a little more gender neutral?
If you’re a politician, NO.
Politicians try to please certain groups while they are in power. The “women” group is very powerful right now. And it’s not that women groups have suddenly become powerful. It’s because women issues align with the political strategy of the Democrats for the next elections. Remember how slavery and race became even a bigger issue prior to the first Obama election? Now is the turn to pump up women issues because Hillary wants to be the first female president. Once the elections are gone, there will be some theatrics, but it basically will go back to normal level just like it has happened with race issues.
Think of the demographic of people watching the Grammys, there are much more female eyes on the screen than males. Whoever wins the woman vote next election wins the presidency. He’s just pandering. It’s fear marketing for votes, and it’s very effective. Notice how above I to add, “I obviously don’t condone violence against women!!”, that’s how effective these tactics are. Women do not analyze politics from a rational standpoint, they use emotion. Politicians need to use emotional, (not fact based), topics to get the irrational female vote. More votes = more political capital = more power and favors. Unfortunately, women vote in higher percentages than men, and they control who gets into the White House. Obama loses by a mile both times if only men voted. He’s worrying about votes, (for the next Democrat). That’s it. Whatever it takes to keep the base happy, (Feminists are loyal Democrats and need their ass kissed almost as much as the Israeli lobbyists do).
Violence Against Women is a fake problem. Crimes against women are not on the rise, especially not the ones feminists claim are committed on college campuses by fratty white boys.
The issue is memetic warfare. It is a both a signaling cue, (vocally denounce rape and agree that rape is a huge problem, or you become the enemy and a rape apologist) as well a bludgeon to use against incorrigible males.
It’s easy to just dismiss everything he says when you understand that statistics are a lie.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics’ “Violent Victimization of College Students” report tells a different and more plausible story about campus culture. During the years surveyed, 1995-2002, the DOJ found that there were six rapes or sexual assaults per thousand per year. Across the nation’s four million female college students, that comes to about one victim in forty students. Other DOJ statistics show that the overall rape rate is in sharp decline: since 1995, the estimated rate of female rape or sexual assault victimizations has decreased by about 60 percent.
Bolstered by inflated statistics and alarmist depictions of campus culture, advocates have been successful in initiating policy changes designed to better protect victims of sexual violence….It is not clear that these policies have made campuses safer places for women, but they have certainly made them treacherous places for falsely accused men.
This isn’t even accounting for the insane California college law just passed where you are literally a rapist if the woman doesn’t declare out loud, “Yes I consent to sexual relations with you!” And who are we kidding? Even with that, she can change her mind and you’re still a rapist).
God forbid you say these things in public, now you know why I don’t write with my real name.
Law 38: Think as you like but behave like others: “If you make a show of going against the times, flaunting your unconventional ideas and unorthodox way, people will think that you only want attention and that you look down upon them. They will find away to punish you for making them feel inferior. It is far safer to blend in and nurture the common touch. Share your originality only with tolerant friends and those who are sure to appreciate your uniqueness.”
